I did my best to build this theme so that anyone could just plug it in and use it. My goal was to make this theme with a clean, minimalist design. In the Stylesheet I did my best to leave comments on what changes what and what styles control certain aspects of the side design. \ \ All I ask is that you kindly leave the link to my blog to give me credit for the design in the footer. \ \b \ INSTALLATION\ \b0 Upload the "Lean and Clean" folder to your wp-content/themes directory - activate the theme and you should be all set.\ \ \b CHANGING COLORS:\ \b0 The one thing that most poeple will want to do is to change the colors of the links. I made this as easy as I could. There are only three lines of code that you need to change. \ \ Find: \ \ Line: 39 - a \{ color: #cc3300; text-decoration:none; \}\ Line 165 - border-top: 2px solid #cc3300;\ Line 182 - border-top: 2px solid #cc3300;\ \ In each of these, change the "#cc3300" to the color number that you want. This will change all the colors of the links as well as the navigation bar colors. \ \ If you are unfamiliar with numbers for colors, here are a few options:\ \ Blue - #0000FF\ Teal - #3399CC\ Deep Red - #660000 \ Red - #FF0000\ Orange - #CC3300\ Brown - #666633\ Bright Blue - #0099FF\ Pink: #FF33FF\ \ \ \b WIDGETS.\ \b0 This theme is fully widget compatible. I have split the widget sections into three sidebars:\ \ \pard\tx720\tx1440\tx2160\tx2880\tx3600\tx4320\tx5040\tx5760\tx6480\tx7200\tx7920\tx8640\ql\qnatural\pardirnatural \i \cf0 Sidebar1 \i0 - this is the section directly below the main navigation that spans the two columns. This is a great spot for a "about me" paragraph. \ \ \i Sidebar2 \i0 - this is the left of the two columns in the sidebar.\ \ \i Sidebar3 \i0 - this is the right of the three columns in the sidebar.\ \ Please note that the widgets are styled by the ".widgets" section of the style.css file. \ \ \pard\tx720\tx1440\tx2160\tx2880\tx3600\tx4320\tx5040\tx5760\tx6480\tx7200\tx7920\tx8640\ql\qnatural\pardirnatural \b \cf0 HEADER\ \b0 The theme comes with a dark grey header image (header.jpg) that you will find in the "images" folder. I have also included a PNG file for those who might need that. If you want to add a custom image or header, just update the .jpg file and replace the current one and you will be all set. \ \ \b ARCHIVES\ \b0 You'll notice that there is a template file called "cleanarchives.php" in the template folder. I love the Clean Archives PLugin and you can find the most recent version here: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/clean-archives-reloaded/). All you have to do to get this to work is to create a page called "Archives" and in the "Page Template" section choose the template called "Clean Archives." \b \ \ THE NAV\ \b0 I set up the navigation to pull the list of your pages. I built the theme to format well if you have about 5 pages with semi-short titles. If you are like me and you have about 20 pages but you only want 4-5 to show up in the nav you can do the following: \ \ 1. Open up the file "sidebar.php"\ \ 2. Find the following lines of code (lines 5-6):\ \
